In its final year as host of The Honda Classic, Heron Bay Golf Club staged yet another exciting finish in 2002. Smiling all the way, 23-year-old Matt Kuchar shot a 6-under 66 in the final round to beat Brad Faxon and Joey Sindelar by two strokes as the Honda Classic closed out its six-year run at Heron Bay Golf Club.
